CLASS: Loom Beading

Learn how to use a loom to make beautiful beaded patterns.
This is a basic beginner’s class for using and creating beadwork on a beading loom.  The technique is very quick and easy to learn and it won’t take long for students to see a pattern emerging right before your eyes.  Bead loom work can be used for a number of decorative clothing and apparel applications and to make beaded jewelry. Possibilities are endless with the vast bead colors and patterns you can create.

What you need for this Class:
Bead Loom – Land of Odds, Fire Mountain Gems
2 beading needles size 12
2 bobbins of beading thread (Nymo or C-lon)
Size 11 seed beads in five different colors.  Czech or Delicas are best.
Small bottle of Tacky glue
Craft or sewing scissors
Needle thread guide if you use them
Shallow containers to keep your beads separate and easy to work out of
Dish or small bathroom towel to put under your work to catch any
beads that drop

CLASS: Tubular Peyote Stitch Beading
Have you ever wanted to bead the handles of your fans?  Or your pipe stem?  Then this class is for you!!

What you need for this Class:
2 beading needles size 12

CLASS: Shield Making
Each year, we make and paint a shield to hold our intentions for that year.  This class will give you the steps needed to create your own shield from scratch, plus the inspiration to add beauty and power to represent your intending.

What you need for this Class:
circular hoop (metal, wood,
leather large enough to stretch over the hoop
sinew, embroidery thread, string
decorative items (paint, feathers, beads, use your imagination)

CLASS: Craft Day
Do you have a project you need help with?  Maybe you’re stuck and don’t know how to proceed.  Maybe you work better when you are with other artists…  Join our community as we work through the challenges we sometimes face with finding the inspiration or with completing the actualization of our projects.
